The Imperial Shuttle has Entered the Box...

But...

IT DOESN'T FIT!!!!!

I've tried retracting its feet, but the central one won't move, and now its dorsal fin is protruding, Jaws-like, from the top opening.  I don't think these toys were built to be dismantled, either.

Bang goes e-bay then:-)

And now I'm off to stuff a pumpkin for dinner...

I read this BEFORE reading the other post and was like "wow, whatever she is on, I want some" and "what on earth is she stuffing that pumpkin with!" LOL.

Um, the pumpkin never got stuffed.

The recipe involved disembowlling a pumpkin, cooking the flesh with pasta, courgette, ginger, onion, tomato, stirring in fromage fraise and basil, then serving the resulting casserole up in the cooked pumpkin shell.

I overcooked the shell and it got incinerated, so I just used the saucepan as a serving dish. Didn't quite have the same impression, but it tasted good.

Yum. That recipe sounds terrific, yet a bit complex for my skill level.

I did make this once, and highly recommend. An acorn squash is the serving dish in this one.

It was obviously a bit too complex for my skill level, too, considering I botched the pumpkin shell bit! It wasn't really difficult to do - just a bit fiddly. I've done far worse - I tried a wonderful recipe once for layers of spinach in cream sauce and tomato/lentil subdivided by individual pancakes, all placed within a round tin which was then emptied out as a solid structure and presented to the table.

It wasn't easy, and I wouldn't have won any prizes for presentation. If I'd set it at the lord's table in the medieval period, he'd probably have fed me to the hounds!
