endlessrarities | Eerie Indiana...

A misleading title, because Indy's not really very eerie at all. And she's not even called 'Indiana', except by me. Evidently, 'Indy' is named after a character in 'Home and Away' (!).

Here's Molly, looking very cheerful and relaxed:-

She actually came over to see me today, which makes a change. Maybe she's trying to say, 'I like you socially, but on a professional basis, I really don't want to know you."

In case you hadn't guessed, I was paired with Indy. I've promised you some photos, so here's two views for you:-

She's such a pretty girl. Shame about the white bits - in chestnut, she'd be utterly perfect...

I'm now beginning to make headway with her. I can do passable turns, and ride her deep into corners. She's not very well-schooled, but she could be quite a nice horse if she was given a chance. And her paces are lovely.

I had a weird experience of deja-vu with her tonight. My old horse used to fling his head right up and rush into his fences at a rate of knots. I'd been told Indy did a similar thing. We were doing some exercises with trotting poles and sure enough, when I turned her into the poles, she flung up her head and zoomed.

For a moment, I was in another place and time, focussed on a virtually identical set of chestnut inturned ears as we hurtled for the very tiny jump. But unlike Squre, when I asked her to contain herself, she obliged.

She's not just a pretty face - she has manners! Unlike Molly, who is definitely a dingbat...
