Back to Pately Bridge now, and the ruined church I introduced you to yesterday:-

I promised you gravestones, so here we are. There weren't any really old examples there - everything seemed to be 19th century, or late 18th at the earliest. I particularly liked this one. It was obviously pre-ordered - the blanks were filled in following the death of the individual who purchased it:-

It was difficult to get many good photos here, because there were lots of very mature yew trees which hemmed in everything. But here's some nice examples, again from the 19th century:-

I particularly like the little chest tomb...
In all, this was a lovely little church and churchyard, and well worth a visit! And the walk itself was great fun, with lots of industrial archaeology to spot along the route!
One last view now of an extraordinary little church, with extraordinary windows!
