It snowed today.  Thankfully, it didn't lie, though the hills are white.

For some absurd reason, the roads were in meltdown this morning.  Even the back roads were clogged with traffic.  This is the advantage of being a cyclist:  I know the little lanes like the back of my hand.  It's unfortunate that the Sat nav brigade aren't quite as flexible...

I was five minutes late getting into work, which was a minor miracle, considering the circumstances.  And we managed to tick off two buildings in the morning, which was another minor miracle.  The only bad news was that my recent purchase of an excavation report for the Knossos Sanctuary, which I've been eagerly awaiting, was delivered to my work, which means I can't get it until The Boss delivers it to my remote location on Friday.  Boo to that!

It's Writers' Group tonight, so I'd better go and get ready.

It is odd how the roads work sometimes. We can have a bunch of snow here, and people are careful and the roads run as smooth as possible. We can get a dusting and people just flip out. It is like they have never seen snow before and drive like crazy people.
