A Floral Interlude...
Apr. 12th, 2010 06:34 pmIt's Writers Group tonight, so I've got no time to do a substantial post. Suffice it to say that the Inland Revenue has accepted that because I'm a muppet who is incapable of using IT properly (something The Boss will verify!!) I should not be penalised with a hefty fine. And besides, my taxes were fully paid with no monies outstanding...
Tomorrow we'll be doing our standing building survey of the Heavy Anti Aircraft battery, so I'm looking forward to that. The weather forecast's excellent, too...
In the meantime, I've got some garden photographs for you. Here's some primroses in the Wild Flower patch:-

The new pink hellebore I brought home from Threave Gardens near Castle Douglas has now been planted:-

And that's all I've got time for tonight! Tomorrow, I'll be introducing you to Dundrennan Abbey...

I should have photographed it before it went in, so I could do the poor thing justice...
Another interesting plant is the Euphorbia 'Craigieburn', another Threave acquisition:-

And finally, here's the current star of the front garden, the Brunnera. With these tiny blue flowers, I'm sure it's related to the forget-me-not... The leaves are also of interest; once the flowers die back, they get very big, and they're nicely marked:-
