I suffered from severe cultureshock today. After spending the last couple of days embroiled in the late medieval period, I've had to switch hats and make a swift return to 20th century weapons manufacture. From black powder to guncotton in the blink of an eye. No wonder I feel a bit spaced out.

I've almost caught up with myself, but I'll be going to the Writers' Group tonight and I still haven't printed out my piece for dissection. So I'd better go and get on with it, hadn't I?

Sorry about the disruption. I'll try and get back to my regular posts in the very near future. I've decided on a new feature for 2011 - I'm going to have a Castle of the Month! It'll be a great excuse to go and seek out local castles and tower-houses, particularly the more obscure ones which you probably won't be familiar with.

It's 6.30 now, so I'd better go...
